Nike was founded by Bill Bowerman and Phil Knight in 1964 back than the name of the company was Blue Ribbon Sports which at that time sold shoe of a Japanese brand from the trunk of Phill car at different track meet. After a successful one year they hired full time employees and their sell reached around $20,000 by the next year in 1966 they opened first retail store in Santa Monica, California. By the year 1980 the company had taken over 50% of the total U.S market share in the shoe market and later that year the company went public in December. The famous tag line Just Do It was introduced in 1988 in an ad campaign was also chosen as one of the top five slogans by advertising age of the 20th century. Due to the huge expansion in its product line which includes many different sports related items, in 1990 they moved their headquarters to eight-building campus in Oregon.
Nike is currently the biggest supplier of Sports related products from shoes, t-shirts, safety products and accessories for most of the games like Football, Baseball, Basketball, Running and many more.
